Al Andalus. Life After 55, Centred on Faith.
A 55+ community in Mississauga with a masjid on the property — built in partnership with the Canadian Council of Ahlus Sunnah.
The Story
Our parents built this community. They filled the masajid, raised the schools, and carried the weight of two worlds so their children could stand in one. They deserve a chapter of life designed for them — not a care home, and not a condo tower far from everything familiar.
Al Andalus is something new for Canada: a 55+ community, not a retirement home. Tawakkul acquires an established apartment building in the heart of the community and renews it for its next chapter — residences designed for independent living after 55, with a masjid raised on the property itself, so that prayer is steps from your door. Familiar streets, your own home, and the rhythm of faith at the centre of daily life.
The Canadian Council of Ahlus Sunnah (CCAS), under the guidance of Shaykh Abdi Munaf Solaiman, is the community partner behind Al Andalus. CCAS brings the community. Tawakkul brings the capital and the construction. Together we build what neither could build alone.

Community Living
“Our parents filled these masajid and built this community with their own hands. Al Andalus is how we honour them — a home where they can live with dignity, among their own community, with the masjid steps from their door. This is not a project for us; it is an amanah.”
— Shaykh Abdi Munaf Solaiman, Chairman, Canadian Council of Ahlus Sunnah
